Peachland Community Connects was established in 2019 and is a non-profit organization whose mission is to create a vibrant Peachland Community where a ‘can do’ attitude engages residents, philanthropists, and non-profit organization.
The main goal of the organization is to increase Peachland’s sense of community by putting on events and activities that encourage engagement and a broader vision of everything Peachland has to offer.
Mural Project
The Okanagan Valley is renowned for its beauty and high-class lifestyle. Peachland is one of the top destinations on Okanagan Lake for lakeside dining, boat cruises and our world celebrated “World of Wheels” car show to name a few. With its quaint small town charm, it attracts roadside travellers, international guests, and locals to promenade along the waterfront and enjoy the breathtaking lake views.
Peachland is home is a rich history with many beautiful heritage buildings to prove it. In addition to the many events that our Community has hosted in the past we would like build on that and offer a new concept for community involvement.
We are proposing a public art initiative that could invigorate the look of downtown Peachland within a matter of months. “Making Waves” Mural Project is proposing to create at least three murals for its inaugural year and more as we move forward. Imagine the vibrant energy that these outdoor paintings will inspire! It will truly be a sight to behold and will definitely add the extra “WOW” factor to our town.
